One of the main reasons to go to Cancun is for the fantastic nightlife. Whether you enjoy dancing to a deejay or love listening to live music, or whether you like disco, pop or rock n’ roll, there is a club for everything in Cancun. Some of the most popular clubs are big names, like Senior Frogs, Carlos ‘N Charlie’s and the Corona Bar. There are also lots of great beach parties if you want to party in the great outdoors. Every August, the “World’s Biggest Beach Party” takes place in Cancun, on a long stretch of beach running more than 10 kilometers from Punta Cancun to Punta Nizuc.
The beach party lasts for three days and features concerts, fireworks, kite boarding competitions and sand sculpture exhibits. Many of the nearby Cancun hotels will also feature parties all along this same stretch of beach. Even if you don’t make it to Cancun for the world’s biggest beach party, you’re bound to find a smaller version going on any time of year. On weekends, most of the hotels and clubs along the beach open their doors to the water and host great beach parties, with everyone invited. The parties really get going for Spring Break, when every Cancun hotel in the hotel zone hosts its own party, and the action goes on until sunrise. Some of the Cancun hotels even specialize in beach parties during Spring Break, and other times of the year, so much so that there is a group of hotels in the hotel zone known as the Party Central Zone.
The Oasis Cancun has three swim-up bars, as well as nightly dance parties and a Thursday night foam party. The Temptation resort is reserved for guests over the age of 21, and has 24 hour meal service and Dirty Dancing lessons. The Cancun Clipper Club is in the middle of the Party Central zone, with an all-night disco right next door. Whichever Cancun resort you choose, make sure to pack your dancing shoes, and take advantage of the Mexican siesta, or afternoon nap, because all the action starts around midnight, and the dancing goes all night long.
