If you are thinking about where you want to get some down time for a weekend, a week or a longer vacation; there are at least 5 great summer getaways you should include on your list: London, Marmaris, Playa del Carmen, Miami, and Capri.

London is a perfect getaway especially for those who live in Europe and don’t like hot temperatures. London is a city with a great deal of culture and attractions for tourists to see. When visiting the city you can try new foods like the renowned fish and chips one. You can also go bar hopping and taste different local beers, while observing the local customs and socializing with the locals. For touring and discovery you can take a bus tour of the city, visit Buckingham Palace and watch the Changing of the Guards, or go to some of the city’s museums like Madam Tussauds.

Marmaris, Turkey and Playa del Carmen, Mexico are two perfect stops for the beach lover. In Marmaris you can relax at the beach front or go to beaches like Daylan turtle beach. In Playa del Carmen visit the nearby Mayan ruins like Tulum or take scuba diving tours where you can see some of the most amazing marine life and waters.

A fourth summer getaway is the lovely city of Miami. In Miami you can get a hotel in South Beach and just lay out and go swimming all day. Walk the Ocean Drive strip with all the clubs and bars or visit the nearby Keys. This summer trip is a definite no work, all rest one. When you get back home from Miami you can rest assured that you will be totally rejuvenated.

A last summer getaway is for the vacationer that doesn’t mind spending and what’s to experience the dolce vita of Naples’ famous Capri Island. Capri has not only great beaches, but also the Grotta Blu , exquisite restaurants to dine at and quaint walks to take near the port area. Any of these destinations makes for a perfect summer getaway because they allow you to truly enjoy yourself without having to rush.
