Ellie Llewelyn A new five star hotel is opening on a site formerly occupied by a brewery in the Barbican area. The Montcalm London City at The Brewery has transformed the Grade II listed building into a hotel offering 235 rooms and suites, a restaurant and cocktail bar, a wellness centre and gastro pub. The hotel will also offer 25 luxury rooms and suites in an annexe, which will include kitchenettes, interconnecting rooms for families and butler service.
When: Limited rooms available from 23 May 2011, official launch Sep 2011
Price: From £160 plus tax during soft opening period, from £315 plus tax from 16 Sep 2011 onward
